Concordia Santa Fe

High Desert Winds Santa Fe is a community wind ensemble comprised of primarily wind and percussion instrumentalists.  The ensemble promotes wind-centric music and music education in the Northern Hew Mexico community.  This community has a need for high level music opportunities, which allwo for collaboration among accomplished adult community musicians and music educators and advanced high school students.

The High Desert Winds Santa Fe will present our first concert of the 2023-24 Season on October 15, 2023, 2pm at the St. Francis Auditorium located in the New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave.

Under the baton of Dr. Janice Gaynor, the performance will feature the music of Grainger, Giroux, Schubert, Saint-Saens and others.

Our guest conductor is April Pickrell conducting R.W. Smith’s “The Gathering of the Yeoman”.

Also featured will be the HDWSF Woodwind Quintet in a performance of David Gillingham’s “Concerto for Wind Ensemble”.

Admission is FREE with donations gratefully accepted
